November 5, 2006 — Lysaya Dances at Israel Benefit
Lysaya Dance School performed a trio of dances —
Spring Dance, Hava Nagila, and Swing — at a benefit concert for Israel
in Palo Alto.
October 1, 2006 — Lysaya has a New Home
Lysaya Dance School and Firebird
Dance Theatre moved to a beautiful new location, in association with irochka.com
and Russian Club. They have joined forces with irochka.com and with the Balu
Rock School to form a new creative collective called Art Fusion. Visit Art
Fusion's new website, artfusion.info. As a result of this move, we have
much greater freedom and flexibility to rehearse and prepare for our newest
show, Quintessence. Most class times
will remain the same after the move. Check class

City Hall
Lysaya Dance School kicks off its 2006-2007 season with
a performance alongside Firebird Dance
Theatre at the first ever Celebration of Russian Culture in the San Francisco
City Hall where SF Mayor Gavin Newsom opened the ceremony.

June 21-28, 2006—Firebird performs in Montreal,
Canada
Members of the Lysaya Dance School toured to Montreal
with Firebird Dance Theatre and performed
on Montreal's biggest stage, the Place Des Arts for an audience of 5,000.

June 17, 2006—Firebird Dance Theatre and Lysaya
Dance School present Alice In Wonderland
As part of Lysaya Dance School's 15th anniversary, Lysaya Dance School and
Firebird Dance Theatre premiered their most exciting dance show to date, Alice
in Wonderland, a 90 minute long show of entirely new choreography and
costumes! There will be an encore performance of
Alice this December! Also, the Alice in Wonderland DVD is coming soon!

May 21, 2006 —Firebird and Lysaya Dance School perform at the Annual Russian American Fair
Firebird Dance Theatre and Lysaya Dance School performed
as the finale of the 2006 annual Russian American Fair in Palo Alto. The concert
featured the premieres of several new pieces for Lysaya Dancers, including
Tarantella, Israeli, and Gypsy dances.

Firebird Dance Theatre and Lysaya Dance School performed
together in their final concert of 2005.
December 10, 2005 —Firebird performs at Russian Center Youth Dance Festival and Holiday Bazaar
Firebird was a featured act at the SF Russian Center's
annual Holiday Bazaar, performing some of our most popular dances. More

November 12, 2005 — Firebird and Lysaya Dance School tour in Reno
After a very successful performance in Reno in summer 2005, Firebird was invited back to perform again, this time together with Lysaya Dance School. The two groups performed with the Reno Balalaika Orchestra, to roaring applause. This was the first major concert outside the bay area for the new generation of Lysaya dancers, and they wowed the audience with their talent and charm.
October 15, 2005 — Firebird and Lysaya Dance School perform at Annual Music Gala
Firebird and Lysaya Dance Ensemble performed at this year's "Music Box Annual Musical Gala" at the Cubberley Theater in Palo Alto. The event showcased the most talented young classical musicians and opera singers of the bay area, but Firebird and Lysaya were the grand finale, closing the event. The two groups each performed one dance out of the upcoming "Alice in Wonderland" production, which will premiere in its entirety in Summer 2006.
August 10–17, 2005 —Lysaya Dance School travels to San Diego
This marked Lysaya Dance School's new generation of dancers' first independent trip outside the bay area. The dancers traveled to San Diego for their summer dance camp where they learned and rehearsed new choreography and saw the amazing sights and attractions of the city.
June 5, 2005 —Firebird performs at Yerba Buena Gardens
Firebird performed at the famous "Israel in the
Gardens" festival in San Francisco's Yerba Buena Gardens.
June 5, 2005 —Lysaya Dance School Summer Concert & Party
Lysaya Dance School delight audiences with their solo concert followed by a party for all children — both performers and audiences —
with music, fun, and of course, dancing!
May 21–22, 2005— Firebird performs
in Reno
Firebird was invited to perform in the first annual Reno
Russian Festival. The event was televised in Reno and received good reviews
by the Reno press. Check back soon for photos of the event.
May 15, 2005— Firebird & Lysaya
Dance School at the JCC Russian-American Faire
Firebird and Lysaya Dance School were the headliners at
the JCC's 2005 Russian-American Faire this year. The dancers performed a full
solo concert which featured a three-dance preview of Firebird's upcoming spectacular,
Alice In Wonderland.
February 12–13, 2005— Firebird
& Lysaya Dance School at the SF Russian Festival
Both Firebird and Lysaya Dance School had several performances
at the Annual San Francisco Russian Festival, including a headlining Firebird
concert on the 13th which was the grand finale of the 2005 Russian Fair, and
closed the event.
November 5, 2004 — Performance at Cubberly Theater
Having just returned from a tour in Montreal, Lysaya's performing group "Firebird"
had a full performance in the Palo Alto Cubberly Theater. Click

October 24, 2004 — Firebird Performs Tango
Lysaya's performing group, "Firebird" performed the Tango Suite
at the Palo Alto JCC's benefit to aide Israel
August, 2004 — Summer Trip to Montreal
Lysaya's new performing group Firebird had its first tour abroad — in

Jan. 31-Feb 1, 2004 — S.F. Russian-American Festival
At this year's Festival, the Ensemble had several exciting performances. These
included the debut appearcane of "Firebird," Lysaya's new adult
performing group!
December 13, 2003 — Performance
Lysaya Dance Ensemble had their final performance of 2003 when they
hosted and performed in the festival at Russian Cultural Center.
October 11, 2003 — Director's 40th Birthday Celebration
Lysaya Dance Ensemble director, Lotta Lysaya Burton celebrated her
40th birthday with a full concert performance and Black & White Ball.
